Tuesday Night Session to Launch ‘The Patrick’ Tonight at Fagin’s from 9pm

Anyone looking for a bit of fine traditional music tonight and maybe a foretaste of what they can expect for the, galloping towards us, Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival could do worse than show up at Fagin’s / Hartnett’s Bar tonight from about 9pm.

There’s a short meeting of the festival committee first and then it’s out to the front room – often referred to as ‘The Bar’ – for the musical part of the evening.

The planning for the 1993 founded festival is going well according to the committee members and, while there’s still a need for more beds in the area to cater for the expected crowds, that too will sort itself out.

Kearney’s Bar will be a huge loss to the festival as you couldn’t draw a leg there morning noon or night in the course of last year’s festival.

All will be good on the weekend and on the annual November 1st horse fair day. May God be good to all – and there were many – who walked amongst us this time last year.
