The sad and shocking news of the unexpected passing of Kathleen O’Connor (nee Reidy) sped around the Castleisland and Knocknagoshel areas early today.

Local people remember the lady who was ‘always on the Limerick Road on her bike with the basket’ as one local woman put it.

“Fianna Fáil and Kerry GAA were her life-long hobbies and that was it,” said another local who worked with her in a shop in Castleisland years ago.

May God be good to her and to her grieving family members.
