This and neighbouring parishes are talking about the big Castleisland Christmas Craft Fair which is all ready to open in the morning at 10-30am and run through to 4-30pm tomorrow afternoon.
Send in the Clowns – they’ll be there. As will Zumba Dancers with inspirational leader, Linda and singers and musicians and every manner and means of making Saturday’s Castleisland Christmas Craft Fair one of the great days to remember.
Admission is free and there will be a ‘Special River Island Hotel Lunch of the Day’ on offer for the duration of the fair.

Great Family Fun
Members of the organising group were out on the streets and approach roads during the week with signs and sledge hammers and a fierce determination to spread the word about their charity event.
They’re determined to provide a day of great family fun with the widest range of crafts at the lowest possible prices for their potential customers.
“We’re going to have personalised, Christmas gifts for as little as a €1 and there will be a great variety of crafts here on the day,” said organising committee member, Renee McCarthy at the launch of the event at the River Island Hotel a couple of weeks ago.

Santa and his Elves
Santa and his elves will attend and they have invited all the children of the area to post their letters to him on the day in the special postbox.
There will be raffles and face-painting / nail painting and lots of other events like that in the course of the day.
The charities chosen by the craft fair organising committee are: Castleisland Day Care Centre and Recovery Haven, Tralee. Anyone seeking further information can ring Renee on: 086 08 20 590.
