U-10s: On Sunday last Gneeveguilla welcomed Currow U-10s for the final of the Paddy O’Leary Blitz.
Currow played the home side in the B final and in a good sporting contest Currow won on the score: 4-7 to 3-3.
Well done to the team and mentors on their win. Next game will be on Thursday, September 7th when they will play Scartaglin away in a challenge game at 6:45pm.
High Scoring U-13s
U-13s: On Monday evening Currow played host to Gneeveguilla in the East Kerry League. In a good sporting contest Currow were victorious in this encounter winning on a score line of Currow 5-13 to Gneeveguilla’s 5-11.
Next game for our U-13 side will be away to Firies on Monday, September 11th at 7pm.
Scart Had the Edge in U-11 Game
U-11s: On Wednesday, August 30th Currow U-11 team made the short journey to Scartaglin to play the home side in the East Kerry League.
In a fairly tight game Scartaglin proved to have the upper hand on Currow and won the game on a score line of Scartaglin 3-9 to Currow 4-2.
Currow’s next game in this competition will take place this coming Sunday where Listry will be their opponents. The game throws in at 12 noon in Currow.
U-6s and U-8s off to Scart
Our U-6 and U-8 teams will travel to Scartaglin on Thursday 7th September to play the home side in a challenge game at 6:45. There will still be training on Saturday morning at 10am.
Currow GAA Club Senior Notes
Golf Classic a Great Success
Currow GAA Club held a fundraising golf outing at Killorglin Golf Club on Saturday and there was a huge turnout and all present had an enjoyable round of golf.
The club members would like to sincerely thank everyone who entered teams sponsored a tee box or gave spot prizes. All local business contributed and it is very much appreciated.
The winners were: John Lyons Team , Scartaglin; Runners up: Tommy Murphy’s Team and third were Sean Muldoon’s Team.
The presentation of prizes was held at The Brown Flesk Inn, Currow and hanks to Claire for her hospitality.

And a huge thank you to Daniel O Shea who put an enormous amount of work to ensure the day ran smoothly and the whole outing was a success.
