Castleisland Camera Club Back in the Frame

Camera Club 3
The work of one of the Castleisland Camera Club members.

“Castleisland Camera Club is in full swing again now that spring has sprung! We have a lot of new members this year which is great and we recently had photographer John Hooton address one of our meetings,” said Breda McGaley.

Landscape Photography

“It was very informative and he shared his knowledge and experience of landscape photography with us.

“Our next meeting will be on this Thursday, March 22nd at 7.30pm in the RCC Building – formerly Nylerin, Tralee Road. New members are always welcome.

Club Outings

“We are continuing our camera club outings too and recently paid a visit to Currow village where we got some great pictures.

“We are also working towards another exhibition/event this year and we hope to include some old photographs in this.

Old Photograph Appeal

“Therefore, we are appealing to anyone in the area with old photographs to scan them and email them to us using this email: oldphotoscastleislandcameraclub@yahoo.com or to contact a member of the camera club who will scan them for them.

“We would ask that people include a little bit of information about each photograph if possible such as date, names, event/occasion, venue, etc.
