KDYS/Garda Síochána Recruiting for Good Friday Basketball Blitz

The Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS) in partnership with An Garda Síochána is running its annual Good Friday Basketball Blitz Tournament.

Organised by Helena Falvey, KDYS and Garda Liz Twomey, the event will be held in Castleisland Community Centre.

Beginning at 10am

Applications are invited from teams from the Castleisland area who are interested in taking part.

The tournament will take place over one day, Friday 19th April 2019, beginning at10am. There are three age categories; Primary School (4th, 5th & 6th class), Under 15s and Under 18s.

Support from Businesses

The event will be supported once again by local businesses and volunteers to help co-ordinate the event.

Teams comprise of 8 players, two of whom must be female and there must be one female on court at all times.

There is a small charge of €2 per player. Applications must be received by Tuesday 16th of April before 5pm.
