U-14 Boys are Central League Champions

On Thursday evening the Desmonds U-14 boys were victorious in the final of the Kerry Central League Division 2 Final.

They defeated Glenbeigh/Glencar/ Cromane on the score of 4-9 to 2-10 in Fitzgerald Stadium.

This was a very enjoyable game to watch and well done to all of the players and their team mentors: in Seamus Conway, John Downey, Dominic O’Shea and Colum Nolan. Thanks to all of the supporters that travelled to support the team on the evening.

Desmonds Ladies Win Co. Minor Championship

Castleisland Desmonds U-18 Ladies team claimed the 2019 Kerry County Division 2 Minor title after a pulsating battle against Laune Rangers on Thursday evening at the Kerry Centre of Excellence in Currans.

The ladies won on the score of 4-9 to 3-9. Well done of the girls and to their team mentors Eddy Regan and Tommy Horan.

Thanks to everyone that came and supported the girls on the evening.

U-14 Girls in NK Final

This coming Sunday sees our U-14 girls contest the North Kerry Final.

They play Na Gael from Tralee. This game takes place at home with a 5:45pm throw in.

U-10 Boys in Challenge in Currow

The U-10 boys team travelled to play Currow also on Thursday evening where they played a very enjoyable challenge match.

Thanks to all of the boys and their mentors and to Currow Coiste Na nÓg for their parts in arranging the game.

Desmonds Senior in Ardfert on Sunday

Desmonds Senior men’s team travel to play Ardfert in their last Co. League game on this Sunday. Throw in for this game is at 2pm.

We would very much appreciate your support for this very important game.

Rush for Replay Tickets

All Ireland tickets applications for the replay will close next Tuesday evening at 6pm.

Only paid up members of Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club will be considered in the allocation of tickets – which takes place in the clubhouse on Thursday, September 12^th. Further details to follow on the time of ticket allocation.

€6,400 Lotto Draw at Tom’s Tonight

The Desmonds Lotto takes place this Saturday evening in Tom Mc’Carthys Bar. The jackpot stands at €6,400. Tickets at €2 or 3 for €5.
