I just got the following email from Gemma Holland in the UK and she’s hoping to find members of her late dad’s family in Castleisland.
“I’m looking to search for some of my dad’s family who lived or may still live in Castleisland or surrounding areas in Co.Kerry.

However, I do not have a lot of information but I’m giving what I know so far and hope to be signposted in the correct direction.
My dad’s name was Joseph Anthony Parker, born 1st June 1942 in Berkshire, England.
His mother was Nora Prendiville who was a hair model for Vidal Sassoon’s Mr. Teasy Weasy and was from Castleisland.
Jeremiah Prendiville ?
My dad went to England at a very early age and was brought up there by his grandparents.
His grandfather possibly Jeremiah, surname also Prendiville.
I know when he left school he was an undertaker’s apprentice.
Uncle John Prendiville
He has an uncle, his mother’s brother, John Prendiville who moved to Woolston in Warrington England and my dad lived there with him until he moved to Widnes in England.
Sorry I do not have a lot of information to go on.
