Downpours and Thunderstorms Part of Tonight’s Status Yellow Warning

What a rough month of August we’re having between everything – and now another bad night on the way.

Met Éireann has issued another weather warning. This is a Status Yellow Wind Warning for Kerry, Cork, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Waterford.

There are forecasts for very strong south to southeast winds from this evening, veering southwesterly overnight with the potential for further impacts and a continued risk of coastal flooding.

Status Yellow: Heavy squally downpours and thunderstorms will bring a risk of spot flooding at times today and tonight.

Yesterday’s warning about securing bins and buckets and anything that the wind can make a weapon of should be put indoors or secured for safety sake.
