Dylan Browne Realises his Ambition with NUIG Scholarship Award

The former St. Patrick’s Secondary School student, Dylan Browne is now following his goal and is studying medicine in Galway at NUIG.

Congratulations are flowing for Castleisland’s Dylan Browne these days as he has been awarded an Excellence Entrance Scholarship to NUIG Galway where he is studying medicine.

Dylan who is the son of Denis and Mary Browne sat his Leaving Certificate at St. Patrick’s Secondary School in 2019 and scored 588 points.

Scholarship to NUIG Galway

He went on to study for the Health Professions Admission Test (HPAT) in 2020 which is a requirement for entry to study medicine.

Based on the combined results of his Leaving Certificate and his HPAT Dylan was awarded the scholarship by NUIG Galway.

Principal’s Comment

“This is an excellent achievement for Dylan and well deserved – as his goal through secondary school was to study medicine and it is always great to see students achieving their goals.

“The very best of luck to Dylan as he pursues his career in medicine,” said St. Patrick’s Secondary School Principal Denis O’Donovan.
