Kerry County Council Road Closures in Currow and Gneeveguilla in March

Kerry County Council has issued notice of up-coming road closures in the Currow and Gneeveguilla areas in mid and late March and Cllr. Bobby O’Connell is anxious to spread the news.

Kerry County Council has issued notice of up-coming road closures in the Currow and Gneeveguilla areas in late March.

And, in conjunction with work proposed for the roads in these areas, the council is also giving notice to anyone who may wish to lodge an objection to these works in the areas mentioned here.

Cllr. Bobby O’Connell asked that the news of the proposed work in the areas be carried here and to ensure that if there are to be objections to the works that they be aired and processed without delay.

Notice of Road Closures

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close to public traffic the following roads in Currow and Gneevegullia.

The Roads Concerned

The L-3005 Kilsarcon, Currow, from Haremount Cross to Shanawillen South Cross. Road closure times from 7.30am on Monday, March 22nd to 6pm. on Tuesday, March 23rd 2021, both dates inclusive.

The L-3009 Gneevegullia, Scrahanfadda, Gneeveguilla from Anablaha School Cross to Tooreenamult Cross.

The Purpose of Closures

Road closing times from 7.30am. on Monday, March 29th to 6pm. on Tuesday, March 30th. 2021, both dates inclusive.

The purpose of these road closures are to facilitate works for cattle underpasses.

Alternative routes will be clearly signposted.

Any person having an objection to the above proposal should lodge same, in writing, marked Road Closure, with the Administrative Officer, Roads, Transportation and Marine Department, County Buildings, Tralee, County Kerry or by e-mail to roads@kerrycoco.ie not later than 5pm on Tuesday, March 2nd 2021.

Time Allowed for Processing

To enable the processing of submissions / objections Kerry County Council can legally process this information, as necessary, to comply with its statutory/legal obligations.

Such information will be processed in line with the council’s privacy statement which is available at www.kerrycoco.ie.
