I’m glad that Kerry County Council has finally got working on the five designated ’20 minute’ parking bays around the town of Castleisland,” said Cllr. Jackie Healy Rae.

“These bays are for short term parking for vulnerable people using facilities such as pharmacies and the post office only.

Observance and Respect

“I hope they’ll be treated with the observance and respect they require in order to work for the benefit of those they are designed to accommodate.

“I’m disappointed it has taken this long for the council to do it, but, never the less it is done now and is very welcome.

Five Bays in Town

“When completed they’ll be located at the following places: Post Office; AIB; Cara Credit Union; near Lynch’s Pharmacy and Bank of Ireland.

“This is an issue I raised at several of our MD meetings since the start of the pandemic.
