A water supply pipe break on the Cordal Road side of the old library is getting the full attention of the Irish Water / Kerry County Council repair crew.

The council’s director of  Water, Environment, Fire and Library Services, John Breen was on stand-by as Garda Niamh Corkery directed traffic safely around the roadworks necessitated by the bad break.

Anyone experiencing a fall-off in water pressure in the Castleisland area can rest assured that it’s the result of tonight’s break.

“Normal service will be restored by morning,” John Breen assured.
