The death has occurred of Reverend Fr. John O’Connell D.D. Counguilla, Scartaglen, Co. Kerry and Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Peacefully on the 28th of February 2022, in the excellent care of the staff in St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

Retired Parish Priest of the Holy Redeemer Church, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Formerly of Counguilla, Scartaglen, Co. Kerry.

Predeceased by his brothers Bill, Thade and Mick and his sister Mary Bridget O’Sullivan.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Nora Mai, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, fellow clergy, friends and parishioners.

Requiem Mass will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Scartaglen, on Friday at 12 noon.
