The Late Thomas ‘Katie’ Coffey of New Marian Park, Tralee and formerly of Currow

The death has occurred of Thomas ‘Katie’ Coffey of New Marian Park, Tralee and formerly of Currow.

Beloved father of Adrian, Kenneth and Lisa. Deeply regretted by his loving family, his sons, daughter, their mother Phil, Lisa’s partner Kevin, sisters Mary and Katie in the UK and Nonie in Tralee; his grandchildren Seán-Michael, Fiadh and Ava, aunt, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

A Pleasant Afternoon

Thomas and myself shared a very pleasant afternoon over a few pints in Skevenas Bar here in Castleisland about 20 years ago and we promised we’d do it again. We never did.

I shook his hand at his brother Mikey’s memorial Mass in Currow a few weeks ago on March15th and I hoped to have a chat then but was swept along in the tide of people offering condolences.

Thomas was a softly spoken gentle man and a gentleman. May God be good to him.
