An event which holds the potential and promise to change the way people in the Castleisland area spend their Sunday mornings is at the planning stage and awaiting suggestions and views from likely participants.

Castleisland Community Centre management and staff are planning to hold regular indoor art, craft and produce Sunday morning markets starting in early May.

Art, Crafts, Produce and Suggestions

“We’re looking for interested stall-holders in categories such as: handmade crafts, leather goods, baking, art, pottery and artisan products,” said centre manager Don Rogers as he and events organiser, Niamh Whelan put the wheels of their ideas in motion at the weekend.

“Tables will be €10 per market and entry for the public will be on a small donation basis which will be shared between local charities.

“This will be a great opportunity for locals to showcase their goods and support their own community at the same time,” they added.
